NCPC CERTIFICATION?
- NCPC focuses on relational skills for developing
stronger ties to organizations to improve retention.
- NCPC focuses on the importance of developing positive
relationships with employees to model positive/strengths based approaches
for working with children, youth and disabled adults.
- NCPC believes that the care of clients is dependent
on a strong isomorphic system that is a balance of positive treatment
of employees and clients.
- NCPC is a supervisory framework designed to enhance
supervision skills and focus on positive performance feedback for employees.
- NCPC teaches supervisors how to quantify performance
and how to identify causes of poor performance.
- Skill Development for participants
- Analytical skills: Participants are required
to analyze competencies and specific practice approaches that meet
the standards. Builds analytical skills.
- Organizational skills: Participants are required
to organize portfolios and paperwork in a specific manner according
to requirements. Approaches are quality assured and regularly reviewed.
Builds organization skills.
- Attention to detail: Participants are required
to reference and cross-reference material and information in a specified
protocol. Builds skills in attending to detail.
- Relational skills: Participants (particularly
assessors) are focused on feedback and relationships with employees.
Builds supervisory relationship skills.
- Behavioral performance assessment: Participants
are required to specifically identify behavior that represents best
practice. Participants must document practice in a behaviorally
specific manner. Builds the ability to be specific about performance
feedback.
- Motivation approaches: Assessor training provides
participants with information on motivational approaches and focusing
on individual differences between employees for improving outcomes
in performance.
- Feedback skills: Assessor training focuses
on positive/strengths- based feedback approaches. Builds skills
in improving performance through specific feedback.
