QUICK LINKS

WHAT ARE NCPC'S ORIGINS?
Originally developed in the United Kingdom over 20 years ago and now available in 110 countries, programs in the United States began adopting NCPC certification in 1997.

The results of NCPC certification are so promising that the Duke Foundation agreed to fund a three year pilot program in North Carolina to fund several agencies to adopt NCPC training.

WHAT BENEFITS CAN CERTIFICATION BRING TO MY ORGANIZATION?

  • A common definition of competent performance and assessment methodology.
  • Clear, uniform expectations for staff with accountability mechanisms that reward effective practice.
  • A consistent, confident, self-motivated workforce, which can increase your staff retention rates.
  • Your staff's increased professional competence will bring about improved outcomes for children, youth and families.
  • Customized training based on your agency's needs.
